BBQ types and fuel
Peak60 has not established a separate rule specifying permitted BBQ types or fuels. Propane, natural gas, electric, charcoal, wood and pellet equipment are not automatically approved by this page. Confirm the proposed equipment and location with property management before relying on a particular arrangement.
Private amenity areas and neighbour considerations
The bylaws give the board authority to make rules about activities in private amenity areas that may affect neighbours, expressly including barbecues. Existing restrictions address nuisance, hazards, increased fire risk, and storage of combustible materials without suitable safety precautions.
Any proposal that changes common property or corporation-maintained components must meet the written-consent requirements in the bylaws. The right to use a deck or patio does not itself approve equipment, fuel storage or a permanent gas installation.
City fire-safety guidance
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the City’s seasonal fire-safety guidance for outdoor cooking equipment. Check current Edmonton fire restrictions before use; restrictions can change and apply differently to cooking equipment and fire pits.
For questions about an installation or fuel connection, confirm applicable City permit requirements as well as property approval. In a fire or immediate safety emergency, call 911.
