Waste Management at Peak61 Townhomes

Keeping Peak60 clean and welcoming is a shared community effort. Residents sort their household waste into garbage, recycling, and food-scrap collection using the City of Edmonton’s three-stream waste system.

Proper sorting and responsible bin storage help reduce odours, discourage pests, and keep outdoor areas tidy.

Garbage, Recycling, and Food Scraps

The three collection streams are:

  • Garbage for household waste that cannot be recycled or composted
  • Recycling for accepted paper, cardboard, plastics, and metal containers
  • Food scraps and organics for food waste and other accepted compostable materials

Residents use the designated bins provided for each type of collection and follow the City of Edmonton’s current sorting requirements.

Collection Days

On collection days, bins may be placed in the designated collection area behind the unit. They should be positioned without blocking sidewalks, roadways, neighbouring homes, or other access routes.

After collection, bins are returned to their approved storage area as soon as possible. Keeping bins and loose waste out of shared outdoor areas helps maintain Peak61’s clean and attractive appearance.
